Glad that's over
Aug. 12th, 2007 04:33 pmShopping sucks. I had two days of it. My head still hurts from it all. The most I can say is that I am happy it is over.
Some things I learned shopping:
1. Cheerful people in malls bug me.
2. It isn't polite to randomly spray people as you walk by perfume counters.
3. Too many people are wandering around for no reason other than to walk slowly in a straight line that causes a traffic jam.
4a. While it is OK to let your children run around like animals, it is not OK for people that they run into to ask that you watch them.
4b. It is also not OK for the person who has asked you to watch your children twice to inform you that she will go to the store staff if it happens again. If this happens, you are allowed to call her a "bitch."
5. Whenever I actually find something that I absolutely love that is not a book or music, they will not have my size. Worse, it will likely be "last season," meaning that there is no hope of finding it at another store in the chain.
The most important thing that I learned is actually something that I already knew, but was reaffirmed for me:
Just because they make it in your size does not mean that you should wear it.
