I know! They were notified that NME was going to present them with the "Godlike Genius Award" so Perry, Stephen and Dave agreed to perform. Eric was, of course, the holdout until the week before. Since they were doing it to honor the memory of Jane's Addiction, and not for the cash, he agreed to do the show.
