HIM: Hi, I was calling to see if you were hiring.
ME: I can give you our fax number so that you can send in your resume.
HIM: A resume? I don't have one of those. Can't I get an interview?
ME: No, we need a resume to review before anything else.
HIM: But I've worked at a lot of companies.
ME: That's great, but we need a resume.
HIM: Why? What if you like me after talking to me? What do you guys do there anyway?
ME: [frustrated, one line description of company].
HIM: So can I have an interview?
ME: Once we review a resume we would contact you if interested.
HIM: I guess I have to work on one then.

I couldn't hang up fast enough.
